Two Capitec employees have been stabbed with a knife at their branch by a man in eMpangeni,KwaZulu-Natal on Wednesday

One employee has died,while another is in hospital.

A female employee of Capitec Bank branch at OK Centre in EMpangeni was left badly injured when a customer stabbed her.

According to an eyewitness who was at the bank around 1pm today, the man came and joined a queue and was later annoyed that it was moving slowly.

He later wanted to go inside and be helped there.

The bank employee managing people coming in and out of the branch politely asked the man to join the line and use an ATM for the service he wanted as it was not available inside.

The man got angry and briefly left. He then came back with a knife and stabbed the employee.

Suspect was then gunned down by people believed to be security guards looking after the centre.
