Female Attacked/Robbed After Car Runs Out Of Fuel in Lotusville - KZN

A 28 year old female was attacked and robbed by a lone suspect after her vehicle ran out of fuel & stalled on the Umdloti Beach Road near the Testing Grounds in Verulam - KZN.

The woman was travelling towards the a petrol station with intention to refuel when the vehicle stalled. Her 19 month old baby was seated in the vehicle.

A lone suspect approached the vehicle while the victim was using her mobile phone to call for help.

The suspect smashed the window with a rock (picture 2) and demanded the woman's phone & cash. He then fled on foot.

The woman suffered open wounds to her face. The child was unharmed.

Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) received the call for assistance at 18:11 (Sunday).
