E-Hailing Driver Killed By Fleeing Robbers in Zwelisha - KZN

An E-Hailing driver was killed by men fleeing the scene of a robbery this afternoon (Tuesday).

Members of Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) were called out to the scene at approximately 19:49. On arrival, the body of a man estimated to be in his thirties, was found lying in a prone position in a residential property.

His silver Toyota Etios was located several metres away. He was shot multiple times in the chest and head.

Reaction Officers interviewed several individuals who stated that the deceased was at a car wash in Amaoti - KZN when the business was robbed by the occupants of a silver Suzuki (model & registration unknown).

The deceased drove off followed by the robbers.

They rammed his vehicle multiple times and fired multiple times as they entered Zwelisha - KZN. The suspects eventually forced the Toyota Etios to stop.

The victim exited the car and fled on foot. The suspects pursued and shot him multiple times before they fled in an unknown direction. Several spent 9mm cartridges were recovered at the scene.

It could not be confirmed if the victim was murdered because he could identify the suspects.
