The hit-and-run murderer who purposefully ran over and then reversed over Nomasonto Felicity Modzanane is still at large

Action Society is investigating Nomasonto’s case and requests update on ‘bakkie murder case’.



6 months days have passed since Nomasonto Felicity Modzanane, a 50-year-old employee at the Randfontein Magistrate Court, was fatally struck by a car on 21 February 2024.

The horrifying event, captured on CCTV, shows the driver hitting Nomasonto and then reversing over her, leading many to believe this was an intentional act.

Despite ongoing police investigations into culpable homicide, no arrests have been made, and no tests were conducted to determine if the driver was under the influence.

Nomasonto's untimely death leaves behind three children and a grandson.

Action Society has sent a formal letter to the police regarding the investigation into the brutal and tragic death of Nomasonto Felicity Modzanane who was killed on 21 February 2024 when she was run over by a bakkie in Randfontein.

Action Society has been mandated to oversee the case and we believe that transparency from the police will go a long way in getting this woman’s family answers to the many questions they have.
