Body found mutilated in Mabopane, suspect arrested by police

Police in Mabopane have discovered a body that was burned and cut into pieces.

The family of 29-year-old Kgomotso Jack Monare made the gruesome discovery when they visited his home in Mabopane Unit U EXT.

The family noticed a foul smell emanating from the house and upon investigating, found what appeared to be human body parts that had been burned.

Further searches led to the discovery of more body parts hidden in a bag under the bed. Kgomotso fled the scene when his family arrived but was apprehended after being on the run for 8 days.

The deceased has been identified as Sgithi.
